Help with downsizing and settling in

A senior move is often a downsizing move, and that part is where families feel the most pressure. Our movers work at your pace, keep what is going clearly separated from what is not, and handle decades of belongings with care. At the new home we place furniture where you want it and set up the rooms you use most first, so the space feels settled on day one instead of a week later.

Moving into a retirement or assisted living community

Communities and senior facilities usually have their own move-in rules, from set move hours to a required certificate of insurance and a reserved elevator. Tell us the community and its requirements when you book, and we will have the paperwork ready and schedule inside the window the facility allows, so the move-in goes smoothly and on time.

Our movers cover the whole area, from central neighborhoods to the coast and inland communities. Most jobs are handled across San Diego, and when a move runs up into North County, we take care of it from our Carlsbad base.

Getting ready for a senior move

• Decide early what is moving, what is being given to family, and what is being donated
• Set aside medications, documents, and valuables to carry yourself
• Keep a box of daily essentials packed last and unpacked first
• Share the new home layout with us so we can place furniture right the first time
• If the new place is not ready, ask about storage to bridge the gap
